When using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office in Microsoft Word, you might see one of the following messages when you attempt to refresh multiple content from the Manage Content dialog box.

Microsoft has encountered an error and needs to shut down

Microsoft Office Word has stopped working

Typically, this problem occurs when you refresh graphical output. To circumvent this problem, try refreshing each section of content one at a time.
